Traveling from Saigon to Hanoi takes about 36 up to 45 hours depending on train you take.
Train
There is one main train line that runs between Saigon and Hanoi. The 2000 km long journey takes 2 days. Not all trains make the entire trip, however. There are local trains that stop at every station along the way.
Several different classes of seat are available. For the longer journeys the softer, more expensive seats are recommended. On the local trains, you have little choice. Foreigners pay double what Vietnamese pay.
Riding the train in Vietnam is a great way to meet the people. The views from the train are often better than from the road. You are also able to take better pictures as the trains go much slower. Of all types of travel in Vietnam, train is recommended for comfort, safety and scenic beauty.All the train are leaving from Gà Sài Gon 3 km far from town center.
Hanoi - Saigon 1750km Saigon - Nha Trang : 438km, Saigon Da Nang 964km
